Bloggiesta Wrap-Up

Ok, my Bloggiesta was kind of full of fail. Between headaches and other pains I didn’t get accomplished as much as I would have liked. I did get a review done and started on a couple others. My winners were announced and I almost have a new bio ready to go up. Lots to still do that I hope to have done soon!

Bloggiesta, OLE!

Once again I am participating in Bloggiesta hosted by Maw Books. I’m getting a late start thanks to not being up to par yesterday. But now I’ve got headphones in and I’m ready to go! I’m hoping to spend at least a good 6 – 8 hours on the blog today/tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes though!

Here are some things I need to get done:

  • Write Reviews. I have at least 6 reviews I *have* to do for tours or review books. Plus plenty of others  I’d like to do.
  • Announce contest winners.
  • Write Bio info
  • Write a review policy
  • Update the review archive
  • Clean up category tags
  • Create new Layout/template!

Ok, so I have a lot more to do than I thought! But I’m hoping I can put a good dent in some of it!

Bloggiesta Wrap-up

blogiestaSo I didn’t do very well during Bloggiesta, but I didn’t do horrible. I lost a lot of time thanks to a migraine on Friday and the attention span of a one year old on Saturday. (Edit: That is I had an attention span equal to that of a 1-yr old, lol) I did put in about 10 hours, so all things considered not too bad. Here what I accomplished:

  • 2 Reviews written
  • Google Reader organized/cleaned up
  • Found an awesome group of blogger buddies!
  • Got a Technorati profile (and almost killed them in the process)
  • Set up Google Alerts

Ok, so I got a little distracted by the mini-challenges but they were so good! And the Google Reader and Technorati took FOREVER, but I’m glad I did them. I also spent a lot of time on twitter talking with  other bloggiestas and doing general brainstorming. I also sat down before going to bed last night and created a to-do list so I can carry on in my own time. I look forward to crossing things off! Thanks again to Maw Books for hosting! Until next time…..

Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge: Blogging Tips & Tutorials

blogiestaHello all and welcome to my mini-challenge!

No matter if you consider yourself a new blogger or an experienced one there is always room to learn more about blogging. After all, we all want our blog to be the best it can be, right? Whether it’s working on labels, favicons, anchor text, or layout/design there are always little tips & tricks we can pick up as we take our blogs to the next level.

Your mission for this mini-challenge is to head over to 27 Must Read Tips & Tutorials for Bloggers and read at least 5 of the articles that are provided.  Try not to rush this one; take your time and really look through all the tips that are offered. Once you’re done there, leave me a comment about a tip you learned and want to incorporate into your blog. There will be giveaways for those that participate!

I hope your don’t let your learning stop here. I encourage you to make a “blogging tips” tag/folder in your feedreader so that you can continually stay on top of blogging tips and trends. Be sure to share your favorites over at the Book Blogs Ning.

Bloggiesta Ole!

blogiesta So I’m joining in Bloggiesta which is being hosted by Maw Books. I’ve been saying I need a blog-a-thon since I did the 24 hr read-a-thon. I feel like I’m soo behind on blogging stuff and never have enough time to catch up. Thankfully, I now have a reason to ignore other things and just BLOG. Oh, and others to keep me on task, lol. So here are my goals that I’d like to accomplish.

1.Write at least 5 reviews.
2. Work on my bio page.
3. Write up review policy
4. Start on new blog layout. I’ve got a cute idea in my mind, but not sure if I can pull it off. I’m going to try though and if not I’ll hire someone.
5. Do Bloggiesta work for at least 15 hrs.

I know it’s a short list, but I’m pretty doubtful that I’ll be able to accomplish it all. I will try my hardest though. So tell me, what are some of your goals?
